American billionaire Elon Musk, the owner of X platform and newly designated special government employee, shared a fake video claiming that the US Agency for International Development (USAID) funded Hollywood celebrities to boost the popularity of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The video mentions several American celebrities who visited Ukraine and allegedly received multi-million-dollar payments from USAID to “increase Zelenskyy’s popularity among foreign audiences, particularly in the United States,” the video claims.

The video mentions Angelina Jolie, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Orlando Bloom, Sean Penn, and Ben Stiller and the alleged payments they received.

“The celebrities themselves have stated that this is false and that USAID never paid them. The video was created by Russians, and the media outlet cited as the original source [E! News] doesn’t have any such news at all,” Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, Andrii Kovalenko, wrote on his Telegram channel.

On February 3, the UNITED24 Media team compiled an article debunking several of Tucker Carlson’s lies and the disinformation propagated by the former Fox News host during a January 31 interview with Piers Morgan.
